Nordic Forest (UK) Ltd. was founded in 2001 as a specialist manufacturer of high grade roofing battens for the UK market. We have spent 25 years as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of roofing batten. Joining the NFRC (The National Federation of Roofing Contractors) as a Supplier Member in 2004, we were very active in improving the quality of our product, and fully supportive of the new BS5534 grading rules when they became part of the new British Standard. We are pleased that we all still benefit from these today.

NFRC is the UK’s largest roofing trade association. We’re a trusted Supplier Member since 2004.
From Nordic forests to UK rooftops
Back in 2001, all our products were produced in Sweden and shipped to our distribution terminal in Rochester, Kent. Today, our distribution is still based in Rochester, but the production has moved to our new, purpose built, factory in Riga. We still source the high grade timber from Sweden and Finland.
AI powered grading technology
High ‘tech’ additions to the production process include X-ray machines and AI computer software connected to ‘hi-def’ cameras. These make the factory grading process very reliable.
